An advanced Corvette capable of dealing heavy damage.
Strong vs. larger, slower-moving and lower-range opponents.
Weak vs. fast opponents and Strikecraft.
The "Calamity"-class Corvette is a deadly threat to larger, slower ships due to its advanced plasma cannon system. Incarnate power tech allow this Strikecraft to fire spheres of high-energy plasma capable of burning through heavy armor at the moment of contact. The only weakness of this weapon system is the relatively slow speed of the plasma spheres.

Analysis[]
The counterpart to the Hiigaran Fleet Bomber, the Plasma Corvette is meant to hit heavier targets. Like the Bomber, it is not effective against nimble Strike Craft.
In Skirmishes they can be quite useful for harassing enemy resourcing operations and quick strikes against heavier ships.
In War Games they are more limited in usefulness, since they do not have any available artifacts and you typically want to Capture as many frigates as possible instead of destroying them.
