Lungma Jun was a peak in the Khontala Mountains on Kharak. For many years it was believed to be the tallest mountain on the planet. It was in the territory held by Kiith Somtaaw. By 100 KDS the city of Gydeo had been founded on the mountain's lower slopes, and by 178 KDS the pilgrimage route known as the Shimmering Path had been built on the slopes of the mountain. The Path was a route involving the visiting of thirty-three shines and temples built on the mountainside.
The seventh of the temples, the Dome of Heaven, was located within Gydeo's walls.
In 675 KDS, the pilgrimage routes collapsed due to the Heresy Wars discouraging travel and all of the temples beyond the Dome of Heaven were closed.
