A Kilometer is a metric system measuring unit, used to measure distance in the Homeworld Series. Tactical battles usually take place over the distance of a few kilometers. A Kilometer equals 1000 meters, although considering the scale of Homeworld, it is uncommon to use meters to measure distances, but mostly to show and compare ship lengths.
