The Kashar Plateau was a location deep into the Great Banded Desert, in Kharak's equator.
History[]
Kashar Plateau's importance to Kiith Gaalsien forces was unknown, but at it housed partial wrecks of Exiled ships, it was occupied by them, and they've build defensive turrets there. In 1110 KDS, after Operation Khadiim's launching, the Coalition Carriers Kapisi and Sakala were running low on supplies after reaching the heart of the desert, so the coalition planned a resupply mission. Kashar Plateau was the only place with a natural airstrip where they can land, so the Kapisi was sent there to take it. The gaalsiens, knowing or not the Coalition's need fromn it, defended it strongly, but the Kapisi's group managed to take it and fortify it. They hold they position against the overwhelming gaalsien's counterattacks, giving time to the landers to arrive. The first one, Lander Two-Nine Echo, from Kiith Siidim, arrived first and resupplied the Sakala. But when two others from Kiith S'jet arrived to resupply the Kapisi, the sakala opened fire on them, downing one. After salvaging what the can from the intact lander, the Kapisi leaft the plateau, in persecution of the traitor carrier, abandoning the two empty landers. It is implied than the gaalsiens retook the Plateau and destroyed both.
Description[]
The Kashar Plateau was a rectangle-like plateau of gray stone emerging from the desert's sands. The main body is surrounded by minor stone rectangle formations, with narrow passes, a real labyrinth of easy defense. The partial wrecks of some Exile ships suggests than parts of one had crashed there.
