The Kalash Site was a location in the Great Banded Desert, on planet Kharak, and was the place of two battles during the Desert Wars.
History[]
The Kalash Site was the place where an alien ship, the Kalash, crashlanded. It is unknown if there were any survivors of the impact.
In 1106 KDS, the Kalash wreck was found by the Coalition of the Northern Kiithid's Carrier Ifriit-Naabal, in an exploratory mission to locate the Primary Anomaly. They explored the wreck, identifying it and obtaining an ancient artifact from it, before having to return north. But they never returned home.
Four years later, the Operation Khadiim's carrier Kapisi, which had discovered the Kalash Wreck site's existence after recovering the artifact and data from the Ifriit-Naabal, rediscovered the Kalash Site. They continued the Ifriit-Naabal's crew work, exploring the Kalash remnants. They soon suffered attacks from Kiith Gaalsien's forces. They controlled the Great Banded Desert, and both exploited the Exile shipwrecks and considered them holy. A long battle between both groups ensued, but the Coalition defeated them and completed their exploration.
While the Coalition's group began demolishing sections of the Kalash to access their technology, the Gaalsien's attacked them with more force. The Kapisi's group was on the brink of defeat when the arrival of other Coalition's carrier, the Sakala, arrived and changed the tide, assisting them in defeating the Gaalsiens.
After finishing looting the Kalash wreck, both Coalition carriers left the area to no return.
Description[]
The Kalash Site was a mainly open area on the desert, which has several rocky formations surrounding a big plateau. The main body of the Kalash, including the ship's bow, laid over the plateau, with three small sections of the stern disseminated in the valley below the plateau. The desert had sand whirlwinds capable of damaging or destroying little units roaming around.
