Imogen perfectly navigates to the mass of the ice, its dense composition hiding the Mothership. Ahead is Karan and the lost Khar-Sajuuk.
The Khar-Kushan has gone to the location given by Karen to Imogen in order to find the Khar-Sajuuk.

The Khar-Kushan must sneak through via a dense ice cloud to get to the location of Karan and her ship the Khar-Sajuuk, avoiding detection by enemy ships and special sensor posts.

Strategy[]
The Mothership starts off at the entrance to a deep canyon in the Buran Ice Shelf, concealed in a dense ice cloud layer that persists throughout the canyon all the way to the end with the fissure that Karan S'jet is supposed to be with the Khar-Sajuuk. There are 4 advanced sensor posts along the way which can detect the Mothership in the ice cloud if she moves in range, so you will need to destroy them first before moving the Mothership forward; the Mothership also has been set into a Silent Running status which heavily reduces her movement speed, to avoid having her move too quickly and into the detection radius of a Sensor Post.
The enemy fleets in the area don't react heavily if your standard ships are detected, allowing you to fight them normally. If, however, the Mothership is detected by one of the sensor posts or is seen by a standard unit outside of the ice cloud, a force of several Battlecruisers and Destroyers will warp in and every Incarnate ship on the map will attack you simultaneously. If you manage to defeat all of them, the mission will end immediately. (Steam Users note, succeeding at this also grants the achievement "Nothing Short of Miraculous")
Once the first sensor post is destroyed, an alert signal will be sent out and a countdown timer will begin. When it ends the heavy attack fleet will warp in regardless. When the 3rd is destroyed a small Carrier group with a couple of Destroyers as escort will warp into the area.
There is one safe pocket of resources close to where you start. As you progress along the canyon destroying Sensor Posts as you go, you'll get access to others.
If you feel up to the challenge and have been adamantly collecting Incarnate Destroyers above capacity, there is a distinct way of getting the most additional ones possible from this mission:
- Destroy 3 of the 4 sensor posts, moving the Mothership along to the indicated areas as you go. Sniping them from long range with Torpedo Frigates in their Missile Burn stance, as well as enemy ships other than Destroyers, is an ideal strategy.
- A couple of Destroyers are on side paths close to Sensor Posts, capture them. For destroyers escorting a Carrier (there are 2 groups, one at mission start close to the Fissure and the one that warps in once you destroy enough sensor posts), start sniping the Carrier with Torpedo Frigates to get a Destroyer set moving closer to you and send Resource Controllers to intercept them.
- Once you've captured the available Destroyers and killed nearly everything else, let the Mothership get detected on purpose from the final sensor post. Have your now very sizeable fleet attack everything except the Destroyers, carefully sending 1 Resource Controller each to those to catch them as well.
If you do the above and were also aggressively capturing Destroyers in the previous mission, you should start the next mission with over 30 of them.
