The Manticore-class Railgun (Coalition Codename: P'torr-class Ultra Long-Range Platform) or simply known as Heavy Railgun is a hovercraft mounting a powerful railgun, used by the Kiith Gaalsien during the time of Operation Khadiim.

Lore[]

"The P'torr is clearly the Gaalsien answer to the Coalition's Horizon-class battle crawler. It first appeared on the battlefield approximately a year after the Horizon began inflicting significant losses on Gaalsien armored craft. While it wields the identical calibre of railgun as the Horizon, the Gaalsien design can also use the same railgun to fire a vehicle-disabling EMP round. It is recommended that these units be engaged with directed airstrikes." — Expedition Guide

Campaign[]

It is the Gaalsien equivalent to the coalition railguns used by the Coalition of Northern Kiithid. They are more manueverable and agile but still relatively slow for a vehicle of its tonnage.

If the player hacks a production cruiser, then they can build their own heavy railguns.

Multiplayer[]

Heavy railguns may only be produced from production cruisers.

Unlike the Horizon, the Manticore can calibrate its railgun to fire at a far longer range than usual, at the cost of losing two thirds of its speed. Manticores can also fire EMP rounds to disable large groups of enemy forces. These advantageous offsets the Heavy Railgun's weaker hull points compared to their Coliation rivals, which means that they should be kept out of harm's way as even LAVs are a significant threat to them.
