The Amassari are a race which appears in Homeworld Mobile.
Overview[]
East of the Tanoch Empire territory, beyond a Maelstrom known as the Nightmare Gulf reside a people known as the Amassari.
They are the descendants of the formidable Hagthar Empire and live among the ruins of their shattered empire in the Progenitors derelicts.
To call the Amassari scavengers would imply they hunt and prey on outsiders, but this is not so. The Amassari live relatively peacefully across the hather plains, making a living salvaging and repairing the machines of their distant forebears in order to survive and litter their space.
They survive through improvisation and reconstruction; Knowledge to build these constructs anew is long lost, and the mighty engines needed to rebuild the fallen empire have long since been destroyed or scrapped. Today the Amassari regard the makings of their ancestors as magical items, prized most of all are devices which still function as intended.
There is no wide scale technological advancement among them because materials are so scarce, in the knowledge of scientific experimentation is lost. The Amassari continue on maintaining their ships through a mixture of tradition and religious practices
Though the Amassari are largely peaceful, of late intruders to their space have been rousing them to the potential of remaking their ancient empire. Family bands of Amassari are beginning to team up with Hiigaran's and other outsiders for the purpose of rediscovering lost knowledge. Though curiosity and a longing to become powerful once again drives the Amassari to ally, there is a danger of repeating the old patterns of conquest should they discover the more dangerous creations of their ancestors
History[]
The Hiigaran Navy detected the Amassari race after a Progenitor Observer hyperspaced in and guided the player to a new location called the Nightmare Gulf which the Tanoch empire knew about.
